DOJ dismisses Richard Gutierrez's Php 25 million libel suit
Philippine Entertainment Portal (PEP) won its fight against the Php 25 Million libel suit filed by GMA primetime star Richard Gutierrez. The Department of Justice dismissed the case for 'lack of probable cause'.
Richard filed the libel suit to PEP, specifically against the online entertainment news website's Editor-in-chief Joanne Maglipon, Managing Editor Karen Pagsolingan, and writer Bong Godinez.
The kapuso actor, 25, filed the case for an article posted in PEP on March 29 saying that the alleged 'gun totting' incident was purely baseless and was intended to bismirch his reputation.
